About Our Ministry
Champion Life Ministries, Inc. was founded in 2008. From 2008-2016, CLM, Inc. provided faith-based sober housing, community ministry events/workshops and support to those coming out of substance use disorder treatment and/or incarceration. The first sober houses were located in Duluth, Minnesota; Benjamin House – Morgan Park, and Zachary Place – Lincoln Park. Benjamin House was named after a young man who struggled with his addiction to pain medications and died as a result. The First Zachary Place was named after the Founder’s son who also died from a medical condition complicated by his drug addiction. Zachary Place 1 remains open today nearly 20 years later under different management.
A small group of ministry leaders identified a community need for faith-based sober housing including individuals desiring and seeking support in the recovery & church community. The ministry was founded & has changed over the years. We continue to serve the Lord, his people and the community as the Holy Spirit leads.
We now focus on spiritual growth through bible teaching and relationship with each other and community relationships. We offer diverse faith-based gatherings that empower individuals and strengthen belief and trust in God.
Our heart is for the people of our city and the surrounding area.
